Dessert – Fruit Crumble
Another favourite recipe of mine is my rustic fruit crumble.
My recipe is:
In a large mixing bowl put:
100 gms wholemeal flour
50 gms rolled oats
50 gms crushed walnuts
25 gms muscovado sugar
Mix the ingredients thoroughly together and then add 3 tbspns sunflower oil and mix again.
Spread your chosen fruit filling in the bottom of your baking dish (I use an oval 250mm long by 50mm deep oval Pyrex dish).
Evenly spread the crumble topping over the fruit pushing it firmly down.
Sprinkle a tbsp or two of brown sugar over the top and place in a 175° C oven and cook for 30 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
